Master of Scotch
Rick Edwards has 19 years of whisky industry experience, including studying with Evan Cattanach, Master Keeper of the Quaich and Master Distiller Emeritus. Rick has worked for different Scottish distilleries in positions ranging from Brand Ambassador to National Mentor. In 2001, he fulfilled a dream when he was invited to the Royal Lochnagar Academy of Malt Advocates where he was bestowed the title Master of Scotch.
Rick completed the Chivas Brothers Masters Course as an ambassador for The Glenlivet and is also member of the Whisky Technology & Production Academy.
Rick is a graduate of University of Minnesota and served six years in the military as Army Airborne Paratrooper, Air Assault Rappel Master and Keeper of the Wings.
The Craftsmanship of the Cask

Crown Royal National Brand Ambassador
For Stephen, it’s always about, “Good people, good conversation and great whisky,” and his role as the Crown Royal National Brand Ambassador combines all of those things – and more. He has had the pleasure of representing the Diageo whiskies for over nine years and his diverse background coupled with his love for whisky allows him to bring a one of kind approach to his work.
Throughout his career, he has completed in-depth industry training across Canada, Scotland, Ireland, Kentucky and Tennessee and is well versed in whisk(e)y history, production processes, wood / barrel management, sensory evaluation and maturation. He has studied the art of blending at Crown Royal’s LaSalle Distillery and with the Johnnie Walker blenders at Cardhu. Additionally he has trained alongside and learned from a wide variety of whisky experts including Master Distillers and Master Blenders at some of the world’s most renowned distilleries.
Stephen thrives on sharing his knowledge and enjoyment of whisky with everyone from the connoisseur to the novice adult experiencing whisky for the first time. His work has taken him across the U.S. and includes: PR/Media events, private events, seminars, dinners, whisky festivals and education courses. From 2006 – 2015 he was the host of the Johnnie Walker Journey and House of Walker experience at over a thousand events across the country.
Originally from the heart of American whiskey and Bourbon country, Wilson has called New York home for the past 16 years. When he’s not talking about, studying, aiding in the production of, or enjoying whisky, Stephen’s an avid runner who completes regularly in 10Ks, half marathons and marathons, always pushing himself toward a new PR.
The History & Tasting of Crown Royal

Crown Royal National Brand Ambassador Stephen Wilson will guide you through the history and craftsmanship of one of Canada’s most complex whiskies. During this seminar, you will learn first hand about the Crown Royal distillation and blending process while exploring select expressions from the Crown Royal portfolio, including Northern Harvest Rye and Hand Selected Barrel.
Master of Whisky Diageo
Gerry Graham grew up surrounded by the origins of whiskey in his native land of Ireland. It was inevitable that this Ulsterman would work in the world of Uisce Beatha and in his current role as Master of Whisky for Diageo he loves nothing more than instilling his love for whisky and sharing his knowledge of the spirit with new converts and old hands alike.
In his training as a Master of Whisky Gerry has worked alongside Master Blenders and Distillery Managers from prestigious houses such as Bushmills, George Dickel, Oban and Lagavulin. He has also travelled to numerous distilleries across Scotland and Ireland studying first hand the history of Whisky and the entire production process from malting to maturation.
Gerry also lectures on Whisk(e)y at Florida International University for their beverage and hospitality program and is a resident expert on Spike TV’s Bar Rescue.
